prostatereport–Do you need to learn more about your prostate biopsy report??.

After a prostate biopsy, the pathology report is the document that captures the findings on your prostate tissue and transmits them from a Pathologist, who is a specialist in making a diagnosis, to your Urologist, who uses this information to formulate a plan of action for your ongoing care. It may be the only communication between the two physicians, and it is important that it clearly conveys all necessary and appropriate information. As the patient, you have the right to read the report. However, not all patients have the opportunity to review this in depth with their urologist.

prostatereport is a concept in providing a written explanation of the pathology report to the patient. IT IS NOT a medical or diagnostic consultation, but an explanation in understandable terms of your previous biopsy report. As I investigate the usefulness of prostatereport, I would appreciate any comments related to this. I would appreciate your filling out the poll below. This is not a solicitation to provide the service, and no personal data is being captured.

I know that the diagnosis of prostate cancer is frightening and disorienting. Thank you for taking the time to comment. You can do this  either below or by pressing Comment at the top of the page depending on what format you are reading this in. At this time, I am only trying to gather data, and I promise you that you will not be contacted to try or purchase anything.
